ILASS 2016 – Droplet Size Determination on a Rotary Atomizer Wheel with Time-Shift Technique in Comparison to Analytical Theory

In cooperation with the TU Darmstadt and GEA Niro we published a paper for the ILASS 2016 regarding “Droplet Size Determination on a Rotary Atomizer Wheel with Time-Shift Technique in Comparison to Analytical Theory“.
For the paper we developed a formula to forecast the droplet size of a rotary atomizer wheel and verified this information using the AOM-Systems time-shift measurement equipment.
This paper is the basis for an inline control loop application for the droplet size at a spray dryer.
