Ventherm, a Danish Manufacturer of custom paint facilities and surface treatment plants intended to serve wind power, offshore, defense and transportation sectors has tested the SpraySpy ProcessLine and is convinced of the benefits it offers customers.
The video (produced by Ventherm) shows a laboratory-scale test setup for a glass flake polyester coating, which is applied using airless spraying. Process defects, which can be seen on the right-hand side of the image, are displayed directly by the SpraySpy in real time (left hand side). This enables fully automated coating, even for processes that are prone to defects.
Why is this relevant:
Ventherm’s customers place great importance on the highest quality and a uniform minimum film thickness. Unfortunately, the glass flakes added to the coating cause blockages in the spray jet, resulting in an uneven film thickness.
